Competition regulator assesses probe into Daa plan to buy airport car park

The probe involves a plan by the Daa to buy a car park site near Dublin Airport from property developer Gerry Gannon. 

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has doubled down on its investigation over plans by the Daa, the operator of Dublin Airport, to buy outright a nearby site for a long-term car park on the grounds that the transaction will likely lessen competition.

The probe involves a plan by the Daa to buy the car park site from property developer Gerry Gannon.
