The Taoiseach has reiterated the Government's intention for Ireland to retain its 12.5% corporate tax rate.

The Finance Minister Michael Noonan will reveal any changes to Ireland's tax rates in next month's budget announcement.

Enda Kenny also moved to assure people that the number of foreign firms interested in setting up in Ireland is still high.

Speaking to Cork's 96FM Enda Kenny said the IDA has been working to attract more foreign direct investment in Ireland, adding: "Ireland is absolutely committed to its 12.5% corporation tax rate and that will not be changing.

"The pipeline is very busy up ahead, from my discussions with the IDA."
