Two of Irelands biggest banks are reassuring investors they have sufficient funds.

AIB and Bank of Ireland say they have enough equity to cover their losses in the event of another crash.

It comes after both banks failed stress tests and the European Banking Authority ranked them among the worst performing financial institutions in Europe.

However, the banks claim the figures used are outdated and that their finances have improved since.
