Residential property prices increased by 6.6% in the year to the end of December.

Residential property prices increased by 6.6% in the year to the end of December.

But house prices across Ireland are still around 33% lower than they were in 2007.

The latest data from the CSO shows in Dublin residential property prices decreased by 0.5% in December but were still 2.6% higher than a year ago.

While nationally - excluding Dublin - prices increased by 1.2% in the month of December and were 10.2% higher than a year ago.
