Eircom appoints new CEO

The board of Eircom has appointed Richard Moat as the company's new CEO.

Moat has acted as both Chief Financial Officer and Executive director of the company for the past two years. His previous experience includes a term as managing Director of T-Mobile UK.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to congratulate Richard on his appointment," said Eircom chairman Padraig McManus.

"As CFO, he has been at the heart of the transformation and rejuvenation of the company over the past two years and he has demonstrated the knowledge, experience and enthusiasm required to lead the company through the next phase of its journey.”
