Amazon has officially asked the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for permission to use drones as part of its plan to deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less.

Amazon has officially asked the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for permission to use drones as part of its plan to deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less.

The news sent Amazon’s shares up 4% in midday trading.
