Ryanair number one airline on earth by passenger numbers

Ryanair carried more than 81 million passengers last year making it the biggest airline in the world when ranked by traffic.

Figures from the International Air Transport Association show the Irish carrier flew 29 million more passengers than Easy jet and 30 million more than third placed Lufthansa.
