Elverys Sports enters examinership

Sports chain Elverys Sports has been placed in examinership.

The company said it will continue to trade as normal while examiners focus on securing investment to protect the 650 employees.

Elverys was established in 1847 as Ireland’s first sports shop in Dublin and it now has 55 branches nationwide.
