Over 12% of commercial properties were vacant across the country in the third quarter of 2013.

A survey conducted by GeoDirectory and DKM reports an increase on the vacancy rate recorded in the second quarter.

A one off analysis was carried out on 101 locations, including 79 of the largest towns in the country.

Ballybofey in Co Donegal has the highest commercial vacancy rate of over 28%, while Greystones in Co Wicklow has the lowest at 3.5%.
