Gilmore in China trade mission

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore is beginning a four-day political and economic mission to China.

Eamon Gilmore's visit marks the first time a sitting Tánaiste has visited the country.

He will hold talks with the Chinese foreign minister and the chairman of the Communist Party during his visit.

It is the seventh visit to China by an Irish minister in the last year.
