Boots in bonus cut threat over pay dispute
Management at Boots Retail Ireland are threatening staff with a cut to bonuses if they don't accept an 18 per cent pay cut.
The on-going pay dispute has been referred to the Labour Court by the Mandate Trade Union after exhausting the Labour Relations Commission process.
The union has been looking for a pay increase for all members of staff at the company as they claim Boots has seen several years of increased profits.
However, management are refusing to give the increase and instead want workers to take a cut.
