Irish businesses urged to sign up for Indian trade mission

SMEs are being urged to sign up for a trade mission next month, aimed at boosting export links between Ireland and India.

The trip to Mumbai takes place between September 5 and 7 and so far around 30 Irish companies have booked a place.

Chairman of the India group in the Asia Trade Forum is David Carthy says there are major opportunities which remain untapped: "We'll be taking about 30 Irish SMEs on the trip to India to highlight the opportunities for trade and investment between Ireland and India.

"The main purpose is to allow export companies the opportunity to learn from each others experiences. A lot of companies have previously gone and done it on their own so this will make it easier for companies to facilitate introductions to our business networks in Bombay."
