Dutch beer giant Heineken has reached a deal to acquire Tiger beer maker Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) for $5.1bn (€4.14bn).

Heineken, which also owns the Cruzcampo, Sagres and Newcastle Brown Ale brands, has offered $50 (€40.66) a share for APB in deal which is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.
