Old dog, new tricks: WWII vet receives degree aged 85

A World War II veteran has graduated aged 85.

Joseph Pinsky spent 10 years at Brooklyn's Kingsborough college working towards his degree after his wife Rosalind told him he needed to be doing something with his time.

She told CBS News: "I'm very proud of him because I asked him, 'What are you going to do when you retire? You have to do something'.

He added: "I did that to waste time because she said, 'Get out of the house'."

But Joseph's decade at college didn't pass without injury as at one stage he suffered a fall while playing a video game on campus.

Rosalind explained: "I get to the school, I go in and he's surrounded by a load of women, he's playing some video games"
