The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 17 points to 3,167, a drop of 0.5%.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 17 points to 3,167, a drop of 0.5%.

Among the fallers, C&C closed down 2.25% to €3.52; Ryanair shed 1.99% to €4.08; Smurfit Kappa was down 1.01% to €7.48; Elan slipped 0.26% to €9.15 and CRH was down 0.22% to €16.08.
