Lending to businesses 'an enormous challenge' for banks

A former Chief Executive of Bank of Ireland has said the task of lending to businesses is an "enormous challenge" for banks.

Mike Soden said NAMA has fulfilled its end of the deal when it comes to clearing the banks' balance sheets of bad debt in order to free them up to lend again.
