British house sales fell last year to one of the lowest totals recorded, figures from HM Revenue and Customs showed today.

British house sales fell last year to one of the lowest totals recorded, figures from HM Revenue and Customs showed today.

There were 869,000 homes sold, down from 880,000 in 2010 and continuing a three-year slump, the UK transaction figures showed.
