Berlin 'wants deal on transaction tax' before end of March
The German Finance Minister has said Berlin wants a deal on a EU-wide financial transaction tax to be reached in the first quarter of this year.
Wolfgang Schaeuble said that if the EU is unable to reach a deal on the tax, it would be possible to implement the tax solely in the eurozone.
