The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 58.70 points to 2,960.52, a rise of 2.02%.
Among the risers, Petroneft Resources added 6c to €0.26, a gain of 26.19%; Indepdent News and Media was up 2c or 12.20% to €0.23; Fyffes added 3c or 8.24% to €0.39 and Merrion Pharmaceutical closed up 2c to €0.22, a gain of 7.32%.
