Bank of England hold rates at record low
The Bank of England put more emergency medicine for the UK economy on hold today, despite more evidence that the recovery is grinding to a halt.
Interest rates were kept at a record low of 0.5% while the Bank’s quantitative easing (QE) programme remained at £275bn following the increase of £75bn in October.
