Sportingbet has sold its Turkish website for £125m (€142.6m) to rival online gamer GVC.

The sale comes days after takeover talks between Sportingbet and Ladbrokes broke down due to the UK bookmaker’s concerns over the Turkish business and any possible residual liabilities.
