Eurobond hopes dampened
Officials in France are playing down speculation that the concept of "eurobonds" will be discussed at a meeting between the French and German leaders tomorrow.
The idea has been proposed by some experts as a solution to the eurozone debt crisis.
However, Germany's Finance Minister said that his government is still opposed to the idea.
The meeting between President Sarkozy and Chancellor Merkel is instead likely to focus on long-term efforts across the eurozone, rather than steps to calm the markets immediately.
