ISEQ closes above 3,000

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 21.36 points to 3,015.54, a rise of 0.71%.

Among the risers, bourse newcomer Zamano added 2c to €0.04; Independent News and Media was up 4c to €0.52; Kingspan climbed 26c to €7.36 and Icon added 40c to €15.40.

Also making gains were C&C, up 8c to €3.69; Grafton Group, up 6c to €3.50, DCC, adding 28c to €20.47 and Aryzta, up 50c to €37.70.

On the fallers' board, exploration companies Petroneft and Providence were both in the black, down 2c to €0.36 and 8c to €2.77 respectively, while FBD slipped 5c to €7.10.
