ECB rate leaves interest rate unchanged

The European Central Bank has kept its key lending rate unchanged.

The bank's governing council has left the interest rate at 1.25%, despite rising inflation concerns in the Eurozone.

The bank's President Jean Claude Trichet will hold a press conference later today at which he will signal whether further rate hikes, such as those seen last month, are likely in the months ahead.
