The European Central Bank has kept its key lending rate unchanged.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan will meet with ECB President Jean Claude Trichet and EU Economics Commissioner Olli Rehn in Brussels later today.

The European Central Bank has distanced itself from the problems of Anglo Irish Bank insisting it's Ireland's problem.

The Governing Council of the ECB today left its key interest rates unchanged, as had been widely expected.
