Mitchell: MEP move on corporation tax rate 'opportunistic'

The Fine Gael MEP Gay Mitchell has slammed moves by French and German MEPs to force the Republic of Ireland to raise its corporation tax rate.

A number of MEPs on the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary affairs committee are trying to get MEPs to sign a declaration calling for a raise in Ireland’s corporate tax rate.
