Aer Lingus confirms appointment of MacFarlane
Aer Lingus have announced the appointment of Andrew MacFarlane as its Chief Financial Officer and as an executive director with immediate effect.
Mr MacFarlane, 53, has served as Aer Lingus’ interim Chief Financial Officer since December of 2009.
Prior to joining Aer Lingus Mr MacFarlane served as Chief Financial Officer of Rentokil Initial plc and his career has covered the leisure, business services, real estate and accounting sectors.
His early career was with Ernst & Young, where he spent 12 years, reaching the position of Corporate Finance Partner in 1987.
In addition he has held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Land Securities Group plc and Holiday Inn.
Mr MacFarlane is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an MA in Economics from Selwyn College, Cambridge.
