The European Central Bank has distanced itself from the problems of Anglo Irish Bank insisting it's Ireland's problem.

The European Central Bank has distanced itself from the problems of Anglo Irish Bank insisting it's Ireland's problem.

President Jean Claude Trichet has said that the Irish Government is solely responsible for dealing with the bank's mounting debts.

He also said that the Government had to take measures to reign in public spending and the banks.
