Examinership will not affect customers, says Aer Arann

Aer Arann is insisting that customers will not be affected by the fact that an examiner has been appointed to the company.

The High Court has appointed Michael McAteer of Grant Thornton to implement a restructuring plan at the airline.

It has suffered €18m in losses since 2008, and was badly hit by the volcanic ash crisis.

It came on the same day that an interim examiner was appointed to McInerney Homes.
