North's tourism could double on back of reputation
Tourism could contribute £1bn to the North's economy by 2020.
New research for the Northern Ireland Tourist Board says the amount generated could double as the country's reputation strengthens.
At the moment, the North's tourist trade is worth around £529m a year and supports 40,000 jobs.
The research also stated that over the next 10 years, the total economic contribution of the visitor economy in the North is set to expand faster than retail, transport and manufacturing.
