3 claims 500,000 customers for mobile and broadband services

Mobile network 3 announced today that it now has more than 500,000 customers subscribing to its mobile and mobile broadband services.

Part of the Hutchison Whampoa group, 3 entered the Irish mobile services market in 2005 and was the first company to launch a high-speed mobile broadband service in Ireland.

The company earlier this year announced a multi-million euro investment to open 28 new stores around the country, resulting in 90 new jobs.

3 will have 50 3Stores nationwide by the end of 2010.
