Four new Shannon routes launched
An extra 60,000 passengers are set to use Shannon Airport between now and December after four new routes were launched today by Aer Lingus and Aer Arann.
The joint venture will result in 26 weekly flights to Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Glasgow, starting in July. Twenty direct jobs are set to be created.
Aer Arann will provide the aircraft and crew while the tickets will be distributed and sold by Aer Lingus in the second phase of its Regional services.
Aer Arann Chief Executive Paul Schutz said the flights are in response to passenger demands.
