Euro falls to four-year low against greenback
The euro has hit its lowest level against the US dollar in more than four years.
The single currency fell below $1.22 for the first time since April 2006, trading at $1.21 this morning.
The drop happened after Germany banned short selling of bonds and stocks in an effort to clamp down on speculators.
EU Monetary Commissioner Olli Rehn said every EU country will have to make changes in order to keep the eurozone stable.
