Aer Lingus chief calls for greater co-ordination of airspace
The Aer Lingus chief is today calling for the co-ordination of a single European airspace, in the wake of the volcanic ash crisis.
Christoph Mueller was commenting in the Aer Lingus Group's annual report, released this morning - he says it is imperative that officials accept the necessity for changes to the current system of remaining within national borders.
The airline has said it expects to take a profit hit of about €20m as a result of the problem.
