Rate of McInerney losses slow

Construction firm McInerney has today announced a pre-tax loss of €25m before exceptionals, for 2009.

The company said it would not be paying a dividend for the year.

The figure compares favourably to a €47m loss in 20089, however.

The firm announced writedowns of its Irish landbank by 50% and its British land assets by around 40% since mid-2008.
