The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 9.93 points at 3,025.25, a rise of 0.33%.
Notable among the climbers were Kerry Group, up 60c to €21.61; Icon, adding €1.95 to €18.95; Elan Corp, adding 10c to €5.49, and Aryzta, up 8c to €28.60.
