The value of Irish shares slumped by more than 3% today, as the ISEQ index of Irish shares declined by 91.21 points to 2,872.37 today in a day which saw no gains of any significance.

The value of Irish shares slumped by more than 3% today, as the ISEQ index of Irish shares declined by 91.21 points to 2,872.37 today in a day which saw no gains of any significance.

Irish Life and Permanent fell a whole 44c to €3.33. Allied Irish Banks was down 11c to €1.41 and Bank of Ireland inched down 5c to €1.56.
