Japan Airlines offered €730m bailout

Japan Airlines has been offered an almost €730m lifeline from a partnership led by American Airlines.

American and its One World allies - which include British Airways - made the move as rival Delta Air Lines bids for a piece of Asia's biggest carrier.

Struggling Japan Airlines is seen as a valuable ally as fellow carriers seek to expand their Asian operations.
