The Iseq index of shares has had a negative morning with a 57-point decrease to 2,816.20 by 11.15am.

Morning trading sees Iseq fall 57 points

The Iseq index of shares has had a negative morning with a 57-point decrease to 2,816.20 by 11.15am.

The main faller of the morning has been business services group DCC which saw its stock tumble 43c to €18.12 while shipping company Irish Continental slumped 20c to €13.50.

The financials were also in the red with AIB falling 11c to €1.62, Irish Life and Permanent down four cents to €3.38 and Bank of Ireland down six cents to €1.65.

Elsewhere, construction firm CRH went down 32c to €17.03 and packaging firm Smurfit Kappa fell 18c to €5.62.
