ISME calls for abolition of Social Partnership
Business lobby group ISME is calling for the abolition of Social Partnership.
The Irish Small and Medium Enterprise Association said public sector spending cuts must be 'non-negotiable' as the Government attempts to get the public finances under control.
ISME's annual conference today will be told that social partnership is nothing more than a 'sham'
The group's chairperson Eilis Quinlan will tell delegates that the trade unions have "run rough shod over the Government" and that our "bloated" public service is a luxury we can't afford.
The Government is also accused of being incompetent, bereft of ideas and lacking leadership.
ISME wants a national representation forum to assist with the economic recovery and they want their members to be at the centre of the decision-making process.
