Shannon Airport has confirmed that it will not enter a new five year agreement with Ryanair.

Airport Director Martin Moroney said it was impossible to come to a mutually beneficial agreement with the airline, because of its so called "unreasonable demands."

Ryanair has indicated that it will further reduce its services from Shannon when its current five-year agreement ends next April.

The airline continues to blame the Government's travel tax for a decline in passenger numbers and has already reduced services at Shannon in protest.
