ISEQ marginally up
The ISEQ index of Irish shares edged into the black today, closing up 2.21 points at 3,233.03.
On the risers' board, CRH added 30c to €18.45; Glanbia was up 13c to €2.86; FBD lifted 7c to €7.50; Smurfit Kappa was also up 7c, to €5.44, and C&C gained 6c, to €2.92.
Among the fallers, Tullow Oil dropped 35c to €12.00; Merrion Pharmaceuticals shed 20c to €3.65, Aryzta also lost 20c, to €27.15; Kerry Group fell 15c to €19.20 and Elan slipped 6c to €4.52.
Financial stocks were mixed, with AIB down 2c to €3.01 and Bank of Ireland shedding 14c to €2.94, but Irish Life & Permanent cheering 17c, to €5.47.
