Science project to generate €275m for economy

One of the biggest science projects ever to be carried out in Ireland will generate €275m for the economy, according to a new report.

The Pricewaterhouse Coopers report said the seabed mapping programme will benefit the fishing, tourism and energy sectors.

The marine project will be formally announced at an international conference in Dublin next week.
