Anglo Irish Bank appoints new chief risk officer

Anglo Irish Bank has appointed an experienced former Citigroup official as its new chief risk officer.

Peter Rossiter has worked for Citigroup for the past 27 years and has extensive international banking and risk-management experience.

He will take up his new post on November 2.

Anglo chairman Donal O'Connor says the appointment represents another important step in establishing a management team that will lead the bank in meeting the considerable challenges it faces.
