Talks aimed at reaching an agreement between workers and management at Marine Terminals Limited begin today at the Labour Relations Commission.

The dispute, which has been ongoing for the past two months, centres on company demands for compulsory redundancies and new pay and conditions at the cargo handling facility.

There have been a number of protests at Dublin Port in support of the striking workers, and last Thursday some protestors attempted to blockade shipping channels with small vessels.
