Small rise for ISEQ
The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 11.26 points to 2,876.41 today.
In the financial sector, Bank of Ireland enjoyed the only gain, up 4c to €2.06. Irish Life and Permanent lost 8c to €3.65 and Allied Irish Banks lost 2c to €1.99.
There were mixed results elsewhere. Paddy Power was the star performer, shooting up 42c to €18.12. CRH closed 30c up to €17.90, with DCC enjoying an 18c bump to €15.63.
It was not all good news however. FBD lost 20c to €7.50. Elan was down 16c to €5.10 with Grafton slipping 10c to €3.04.
