Committee calls on bankers to explain lending position

Banking officials have been called before a group of politicians to explain their position on lending money to businesses during the economic downturn.

Representatives from a wide range of institutions and business organisations will appear at the cross-party Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment on Wednesday.
