Bord na Móna to make substantial jobs announcement

Bord na Móna is set to make a significant jobs announcement at its annual general meeting in Dublin today.

No details have yet been disclosed, but the company says the jobs will be green and will be substantial in number.

Bord na Móna was criticised last week by An Bord Snip Nua, which said the semi-state firm had expanded beyond its original remit and the Government should consider selling some of its assets.
