Sixteen jobs to go at Wicklow quarry
Sixteen jobs are to go in Wicklow with the closure of a quarry in Blessington.
Roadstone Dublin Limited, a subsidiary of Roadstone holdings, has told staff that it's to close the facility on July 8 with the loss of 16 permanent positions.
Up to 60 hauliers are to be affected by the closure.
In a statement today, the company said the decision was taken because of a downturn in demand for its product.
