DAA to seek 400 job cuts at three airports
Unions are vowing to resist any enforced job losses and pay cuts at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports.
The Dublin Airport Authority, which operates the three facilities, is expected to announce plans for 400 redundancies later today as part of a major cost-cutting plan.
The firm is unveiling details of the plan to trade unions this morning.
The DAA is warning that it could lose €70m this year, but the IMPACT trade union said today that pay cuts were out of the question and any redundancies must be sought on a voluntary basis.
